Though not many details about his childhood are available, but this famous television personality started his career at the age of seventeen as a disc jockey at local radio station WHAV. He was very popular on the radio and in no time he was hosting his own show “The Tom Bergeron Show”, an early morning show.

While still hosting his radio show he moved on to television to host the Emmy Award-winning magazine series “Super Kids” at WBZ-TV Boston. When this show became famous he was given many more shows in the same production house. In 1987, along with all these shows, Bergeron moved on by adding ‘People Are Talking’ to his list of shows. In 1994, Tom left WBZ and moved on to FX cable network, where he was appointed to be a host on the new show called “Breakfast Time”. The show became a huge success and people loved Tom and his sardonic comments. After two years the show moved on to FOX and it was renamed “Fox After Breakfast”.

But the man is best known for being the host of “Hollywood Squares”. This was the show that made him favorite of people and also earned him five nominations for the Emmy’s, out of which he also won one in 2000. In 2001, he joined America’s Funniest Videos as its host. He still hosts the show.

Tom joined the cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ in 2005 as the host of the show. He replaced Lisa Canning in the series. The series is currently running into its eighth season. It is his sense of humor and comedy timings that have taken him so far and made him favorite of people.

Coming down to his personal life, Tom is married to Lois Bergeron and has two children with her. Tom spends most of his time in Los Angeles and Greenwich.
