Carrie Ann Inaba is from Japanese, Chinese, and Irish descent and that completely shows in her lifestyle. Carrie Ann was born and brought up in Hawaii, where she attended Hanahaouli School and then Punahou School. Right from her childhood she had interest in music and dancing. She learnt to play piano and violin and was also a member of the choir. By the time she was sixteen, she knew what she was interested in doing in life. So she along with her friend took part and won the Hawaii statewide competition, “Search for Talent,” which they had choreographed on their own.

She then moved on to Japan, Tokyo in order to pursue a career in music. She lived in Tokyo for two years and can speak Japanese fluently. After spending two years in Tokyo she realized that this lifestyle is not for her and returned to United States and settled in California. While she was in Japan, she recorded three single songs in Japan. While she was in her dancing class, a producer came up to her and asked her to be a choreographer. With this she began her journey and there was no looking back for Inaba.

Some of her major works include performing with people like Madonna, Ricky Martin, David Copperfield, Chayanne, and making a lot of appearances on shows such as The Creative Arts Emmys, The SAG Awards, The NAACP Awards, The MTV Awards and ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’. Carrie Ann loves to dance and that shows in her performances.

Carrie Ann is an all rounder, who has done what she likes to do in life. Inaba has performed on stage, sang songs, choreographed and has even done roles in movies. She has worked in movies like ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember’ and ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’. Inaba has been the choreographer of various television series like ‘American Idol‘, ‘American Juniors’, ‘All American Girl’, ‘He’s a Lady’ and ‘In Search of the Partridge Family’ and many more.

All this was not enough for her and so she also ended up opening a video production company under the name, EnterMediArts. Carrie Ann is the founder and president of the company and has also produced two of her documentaries and her short film. She has also directed and edited most of her works. She hopes that in the near future she and her company will be able to entertain people with lots of meaningful projects.

Currently, this multi-talented star appears on television as a judge on the show ‘Dancing with the Stars‘.

Noting her personal life, Carrie Ann dated a contestant from ‘So You Think You Can Dance‘ Artem Chigvintsev from 2006-2008. Chigvintsev was fifteen years younger to her.
